Slip Bearing Oil

Avid Slip Bearing Oil is a high-performance, Teflon-based lubricant designed to reduce friction and metal-on-metal wear while helping displace moisture and protect against corrosion. It has been through extensive third-party testing and consistently outperformed the light oils we compared it against.

Slip Bearing Oil can be used on both wheel and clutch bearings. For clutch bearings, Avid recommends removing the factory grease with compressed air and running the bearing with only the light residual film for the first 1/2 gallon of fuel. After that, each time the engine is removed to inspect the clutch shoes, wipe the outside of the bearing clean and apply one drop of Slip Bearing Oil before reinstalling the engine.
