AE Shock Shaft V2 | 3x23 | Chrome (2)

The Avid AE 3x23 shock shafts are chrome-plated to ensure the smoothest surface possible. They utilize Associated's V2 screw mount design to keep the piston in place.

Tips

• When installing, we recommend that you place the shiny side of the washer that has rounded edges away from the piston. Doing this allows the piston to slightly spin when the screw is fully tightened down so it doesn't deform the piston under the screw pressure.
• If you are a racer that likes to tinker, our Xray Avid Conversion shock shafts will also work with in the AE 13mm shocks with the standard 13mm pistons. AE signifies their shock shaft length by the stroke so the front 23mm shaft is 43.35mm long and the rear 27.5mm shaft is 47.82mm long. You AE racers can use the Xray Avid Conversion shafts that are 40mm and 45mm long. The only other difference is that the AE shock end threads are 7mm where the Xray Avid Conversion Shafts are 7.75mm, so don't expect to screw the shaft all the way into your shock end.
• We recommend that when replacing shafts you always replace them with the Avid X-rings, Avid Machined Shock Spacers, and Avid Slop Oring Grease.
